My name is Cathy Read, I live in Worcestershire (UK) with my husband, three daughters and too many pets to mention!

I have been in the reborn industry since 2001 when I came across reborn dolls on eBay.

Since then I have been an integral part of growing the UK reborn industry, being the first one to sell kits and supplies, and even having a bricks and mortar shop to offer everything reborn related as well as my own art.

I attended doll and toy shows across the UK from 2002 and in 2005 I launched the successful publication Discover Dolls Magazine.

In 2007 I ran my first ever doll show in Peterborough in the UK, and we now run 7 shows a year at various different locations.

I have attended doll shows across Europe and the US and got to know personally artists and collectors from across the world.

In 2020 I began working on a Market Place solution to provide artists with an online platform to sell and promote their art and for genuine small reborn businesses to have somewhere safe to offer their goods.
However when the pandemic hit, this solution was set aside to develop the online version of The Doll Show which has been so very popular!

However, with the increase in the number of scammers and counterfeits that are saturating social media sites, it felt like time to resurrect the Market Place idea and develop it to its full potential.
